The City of Galt (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms for engineering design services in connection with the Chabolla Skate Park Enhancements Project (Project). The selected consultant will work closely with City staff to perform preliminary engineering, conduct public outreach, and prepare conceptual designs, environmental documents, final design, final construction (bid) documents and bid support to publicly bid the project. The new skate park will approximately double the amount of usable space of the existing park and will provide permanent features which may include, but not limited to: reinforced, cast-in-place concrete surfaces, banks, stairs, boxes, pyramids, vertical ramps or spines no greater than six (6) feet in height, Street terrain features and transitions, rails, upgrades to existing park lighting, seating, security fencing, accessible pathways, and other work as described in Attachment A, “Scope of Work Requirements”. The selected consultant will utilize the City’s preliminary renderings, developed by American Ramp Company, as a framework for developing two (2) initial conceptual plans and layouts of the new skate park facility, in accordance with the Request for Proposals. A copy of the City’s conceptual renderings is located in Attachment B.
