The project consists of replacing the existing asphalt roof with a new class A dimensional asphalt shingle roof. The contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing asphalt shingle, related materials and disposing. The contractor will be responsible for installing a new roofing system (approx. 7,300 SF) in accordance with the specifications provided and the latest building codes, including but not limited to, installing new 30lb felt, class A dimensional shingles (GAF Timberline HD reflector Series per manufactures high wind specification, or approved equal), ridge caps, valley flashing, drip edge flashing (2”x2” brown to eves of entire roof), and mechanical fasteners as specified by manufacturer. The contractor will be responsible for the installation of flashing and one layer of Ice and Water Sheild Self-Adhered Underlayment over wood deck as needed. Install new Ridgelass high profile ridge cap to all hips and ridges. Replace all pipe, (approx. 15, 4-8 inch) vents and chimneys, and step flashings with new galvanized metal flashings and paint to match. The plywood and fascia will be assessed after tear-off and replaced as needed. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
