The City of San Bernardino invites responses from General Contractors experienced and qualified in Modular Units installation for the development of an interim housing facility/homeless shelter, known as the "Campus," situated on a City-owned 2.5-acre parcel at 796 E. 6th Street. The designated site currently encompasses three buildings, formerly utilized as the School of Hope. The Campus is expected to accommodate 180 congregate units with community bathrooms and showers and 20 non-congregant sleeping pods with attached full-bathrooms designed for couples, men, and women. Essential amenities include a cafeteria with a commercial kitchen, administrative offices, laundry facilities, parking lot, trash enclosure, bike storage, unit lockers and an animal kennel with related amenities. Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and all applicable Federal, State, County, and City laws, standards, and requirements is mandatory, including but not limited to the California Building Code, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
