The County has a diverse range of goals to complete with its available funding. We have referred to our scope of work as “transformational” because we want to reverse a decadeslong trend of facility deterioration. General aviation facilities to be constructed include: • 36 new T-hangar units (2 sizes) to replace existing • Five new corporate hangars (3,600 sq ft each) • Six aircraft sunshade tie down spaces • One self-serve fuel farm featuring four grades of fuel; one fuel farm (storage) • Associated apron pavement improvements General purpose facilities to be constructed include: • One 1,600 sq ft fire station awning structure (3 sides, no door) • One 8,000 sq ft cold storage building (airport equipment and materials) Airline terminal building facilities to include: • Remodel the entire ticketing, bag claim, restroom, and TSA que areas of the existing terminal. Reuse the existing hold room. Construct a new 30,000 sq ft hold room at grade with toilet rooms and rough concessions (five gates, peak hour capacity of 400 passengers). • Planning for a Customs and Border Protection facility to accommodate 200 passengers (A change order is contemplated during project delivery regarding the design and construction of the customs facility)
