Madera Station Relocation project includes construction of a new commuter rail platform, associated station trackwork, parking, vehicular circulation, bus drop off area and access road from Avenue 12 in Madera County, California. The project is along the Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF), Fresno Subdivision (MP 1016.02 to MP 1016.48) and is the initial Phase of a three Phase project to provide connectivity to the initial Phase of California High Speed rail and San Joaquins Intercity Passenger Rail as well as ACE connecting the Central Valley with the Bay Area and Sacramento. The following is a more detailed description of the construction requiring CM Services: 1. Station Track and signal work will be completed by BNSF Railway, requiring coordination with the Railway. The SJRRC Contractor will complete the following within BNSF Railway Right-ofWay prior to BNSF completing the Track and Signal work. A. Clearing and grubbing in preparation for railroad embankment B. Placement and compaction of embankment including sub ballast, track drainage and platform footing prior to releasing the area for BNSF to install ballast, ties and rail, and associated signal work.
