In general, the work consists of removing seventeen (17) substandard fire hydrants and installing six (6) new fire hydrants at four different City locations. All hydrant removals have been coordinated with the Fire Department. Except for existing pavement and cross walk improvements that may be removed or damaged during fire hydrant and waterline upgrade work, no other new subsurface or surface improvements will be constructed, and no grade changes are anticipated. All work will be within the City's road right-of-way. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
