The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) is pleased to announce the opportunity to provide environmental consulting services including geotechnical investigation, hydrological analysis, permitting, and pond design services to support repairs and modifications of one stock pond estimated at a ~0.35-acre maximum surface area (Purisima Pond) located in the 5,412-acre Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve (PCROSP) in San Mateo County, California (Attachment 1). The pond has documented occupancy by Federally Threatened California red-legged frog (CRLF) and also supports conservation grazing on the preserve. The purpose of this Request for Proposals and Qualifications is to solicit individuals or firms to complete a low-cost and implementable geotechnical investigation, hydrological assessment, and pond design to inform the improvement of the pond’s habitat for sensitive species while continuing to provide water access for conservation grazing cattle.
