The Santa Cruz County Sanitation District (District) invites sealed proposals for Gas Monitoring Equipment from fully licensed, insured, bonded, certified CONTRACTORS to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals required to provide services for the Santa Cruz County Sanitation District. The District maintains 186 miles of gravity sewer mains, 14 miles of force mains, and 4,687 sewer manholes and 35 pump stations. The District encompasses the communities of Live Oak, portions of Aptos and Soquel and the City of Capitola. Our primary purpose is to maintain the sewer system transporting the wastewater to the City of Santa Cruz Wastewater Treatment Plant. The D.A. Porath Facility is the District’s main facility and the average daily dry weather flows are approximately 3 million gallons per day before it is pumped to the City’s treatment.
