SCOPE OF WORK 1. Provide field testing of water quality from all reverse osmosis’ and produce a field report based on those findings. 2. Contractor shall provide expertise/advice to address quality and /or operational issues. 3. Provide cleaning service for reverse osmosis membranes as necessary. 4. Service on line silica analyzer and supply necessary reagents. 5. Maintain chemical inventory of antiscalant. Ensure proper operation of chemical injection pumps and adjust as needed. 6. Maintain pre-filter inventory and replace as needed. 7. Backflush carbon filters as needed to ensure chlorine removal. 8. Deliver and remove turbo-flow polishers as needed. 9. Adjust recovery and rejection percentages to optimize reverse osmosis performance. 10. Maintain communications with the Power Plant Operations Supervisor and Foreman. 11. The City anticipates the Contractor will take great care in the designation of a lead individual. The City also anticipates that the lead individual will be dedicated to providing prompt service as required and that a backup individual will be available as needed to provide uninterrupted service to the City. 12. Conform to the City’s outage schedule in the event that work can only be completed during specific time frames. 13. Adhere to City of Redding Power Plant lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined space entry procedures. 14. Comply with all Federal and State regulations regarding hazardous wastes, including universal waste. Contractor shall be responsible for collection, control, storage, labeling, transport, and disposal of all hazardous wastes, including universal waste, generated during completion of the work. 15. The City will be responsible for scheduling equipment outages, providing permits for confined space entry, administering the LOTO program, and providing a site safety orientation to all contracted employees.
