The City seeks to enter into a contract with an A&E firm to prepare Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E), Support through the Public Bidding, and to provide Construction Management Services for the following (not all inclusive) work: 1. Determining the type of existing foundation and the improvements necessary to ensure safety in use of the building for public assembly or commercial occupancy. 2. Leveling of building from areas of settlement to allow for structural interventions and repairs to finishes. 3. Removal of existing deteriorated plaster and wood finishes to be replaced by new structural sheathing covered with new matching finishes. 4. Installation of strapping and blocking within floor diaphragms to accommodate revised shear wall layout and allow access to floor framing. 5. Exploratory selective demolition to determine appropriate diaphragm nailing and sheathing. 6. Installation of new hold downs from shear walls to transfer load to brick basement walls and floor framing. 7. Selective removal and replacement of existing girders with new framing to support new shear walls, and installation of new framing to be added to support girders. 8. Recommendations by the selected consultant on amending or adding to the above list. 9. Deliverables shall include 30%, 60%, 90%, and final PS&E.
