The City of Brighton manages a citywide residential sidewalk replacement program wherein residents pay half of the repair cost and the City funds half of the repair cost for certain sections of sidewalk which are in disrepair. The 50-50 Sidewalk Replacement Program alleviates some of the cost imposed upon residents to repair or replace their sidewalk while improving both the safety of the City’s pedestrian travelers and visual aesthetic of the neighborhood.
