The work to be performed under this contract generally includes stream channel improvements at the MCMurdo Gulch – (Reach 1, 2 and 3) and (Tributarys 5 and 6) locations, consisting of Grading, Water Control, Unclassified Excavation, Boulder Cascade, Bank Protection, Riffle Drops and Pools, Type H Void-Filled Riprap, Type M Void-Filled Riprap, Boulder Steps, Landscape, Erosion Control, Sediment Control and related Appurtenances. All work required for the project shall be in accordance with Town of Castle Rock Contract Documents for McMurdo Gulch Stream Reclamation Project – Priority 3 Improvements and the latest editions of the Town of Castle Rock Construction Methodology and Materials Manual, Town of Castle Rock Details, Town of Castle Rock Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC) Manual, Town of Castle Rock Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Mile High Flood District (MHFD) Technical Specifications. Contractor shall verify actual field conditions prior to construction. It is strongly recommended that the prospective bidders investigate the site of work sufficiently to satisfy themselves of the extent and conditions of the project. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with adjacent property owners, trash removal companies, school district and other Town maintenance projects if applicable. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining State Stormwater Discharge and Dewatering permits, as applicable. The Contractor shall also obtain Construction and TESC permits with the Town. There are no fees associated with these Town permits Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
