The City of Manitou Springs (“COMS” or “City”) is a tourist-driven economy that has extensive public facilities that are frequently used by residents and visitors, including for major events. The City's goal is to select one firm to provide Trash and Recycling service to all City-owned receptacles, which include trash cans in parks, bear-proof dual trash and recycle receptacles, 3-yard dumpsters, and a 30-yard dumpster at City facilities. The City seeks to enlist a firm that is responsive to concerns from both the municipal staff. This RFP will be for an initial 12-month term with up to 4 contiguous 12-month renewal terms renewable on an annual schedule. The City prepared a comprehensive cost comparison matrix that all proposers must complete; this provides critical input for the City’s review and selection process (refer to Attachment 1 for required format) Bonds required.
