Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is seeking proposals for General Contractor construction services utilizing the construction manager/general contractor (CMGC) delivery method. This will be a contract for construction services for a Redesign of the Arvada Library located at 7525 W. 57th Ave. in Arvada, CO. The Arvada Library is located within the Olde Town Arvada historic district, adjacent to Olde Town Square. The project vision is to redesign this urban/suburban library to reach more people, focus on building literacies and be the third place in this community. In this project, we hope to: Redesign the library to align with future service and community needs and foster increased circulation, computer use and availability. Expand outreach by boosting Library card sign-ups and enhancing market engagement. Establish Arvada Library as the community's primary third place, providing collaborative areas for conversation and discovery, including a heightened occupancy of study and meeting rooms. Implement modern security systems and design to enhance overall safety. Audit the library's redesign for compatibility with the vision of the Olde Town Reinvestment Plan Bonds required.
