Provide presence detection capability for all approach lanes of the intersection, including bicycle lanes for at least 100’ from stop bar. The detection system shall be suitable for use in all weather and glare conditions with minimal false calls. The non-intrusive detection sensors at an intersection shall all be provided from the same manufacturer. This work shall include, but not be limited to, furnishing and installing radars, cameras, system support hardware, cabling, cabinet hardware, software, detection zone setup for each lane, and fine-turning the system for a period of 90 days after intersection is fully operational. The detection system shall be remotely viewable and configurable utilizing the existing City’s Ethernet network. The location and orientation of devices shown on the plans is approximate and may vary depending upon the chosen vendor. The contractor shall work with the detection system vendor and City representative in the field to determine the precise location and orientation of each device to optimize detection. At a minimum, presence detection shall be provided for each lane on each approach. Typically each lane is programmed as a separate detector input to the controller. The cost for this work, including field locations of devices and necessary mounting hardware (extension arm, etc.) will not be paid for separately but shall be included in the unit cost of this item. The following systems have been pre-approved: 1. Wavetronix Matrix (stop bar) systems 2. Econolite Autoscope Vision or Accuscan 600C radar (stop bar). 3. Iteris Vantage Next or Radius (stop bar). 4. Gridsmart GS2 System. 5. Flir TrafiSense2 SDLC system Bonds required.
