The Project consists of the construction of a transit project located at Water Street in Naugatuck , Connecticut as shown and described in the Contract. Building work for the Facility consists of replacement/relocation of the station platform at Naugatuck Station. The existing at grade level platform at Naugatuck Station will be relocated about 1/3 of a mile south of the existing station with a high-level heated fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) platform as part of an overall effort by the Connecticut Department Transportation to upgrade the Waterbury Branch Line and to ensure safe and efficient boarding with the future fleet of rail cars. The new platforms will also meet all applicable federal ADA and state accessibility compliance standards. Work for this Project involves areas that are in the railroad right-of-way. See Special Provisions for detailed requirements. Required Prequalification Work Classification: 25B - Vertical Construction - Intermediate.
