This project aims to plant native trees and emergent plants on the spoil islands in Fisheating Bay (FEB) on Lake Okeechobee (Figure 1) in the spring 2025. This planting project will establish native habitat on and around the islands following the 2023 removal of invasive Brazilian Pepper trees and other non-native shrubs and vines. The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) seeks to procure plants and planting services.
