The project entails constructing a modern stormwater management system for South Pine Street between Massachusetts Avenue and 89th Street, an approximate 4-acre drainage basin. The proposed stormwater management system will include storage and treatment of stormwater runoff within the basin through a series of swales, piping, retention area and overflow structure for discharge to the drainage conveyance system. The treatment system will meet or exceed SJRWMD standards for new construction. This basin was selected over others due to its known deficiencies and the presence of a city-owned lot for use as a retention area.
