This project consists of 3 volumes. Volume A is the Preston WTP SCADA Server Room Fire Suppression and HVAC Improvements. Volume B is the Preston WTP Radiator Catwalk Addition. Volume C is the Pipe Tap Installation at Hialeah WTP. B. Volume A generally consists of implementing improvements to the existing SCADA room by the installation of a new fire suppression systema and a backup HVAC system since the existing HVAC system does not supply an even temperature in the entire space, and the temperature for the electronics house in the room needs to be maintained at the same range in all locations within the room. 1. The HVAC improvements under this project will include: a. Redundant HVAC split DX system with a 100% back up. b. Associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades to support the installation of a new HVAC system. c. Associated electrical and instrumentation and controls. The fire suppression system must be designed as a Class C Hazard and maintain 19% Oxygen level in server room. d. Conduit from the SCADA server room to the 2nd floor fire alarm panel will be provided. e. Fire suppression system to shutdown Server Room HVAC system via relay including closing of dampers before release of clean agent system. f. The door at the entrance of the SCADA server room must be replaced with a 2-hour rated door or an appropriately rated fire door. h. The window in the SCADA server room must be airtight and impact resistant. i. Installation of new ducts and lights due to the removal of the ceiling tiles to accommodate the fire suppression system. C. Volume B generally consists of the following. 1. Installation of the Catwalk platform deck at 9’-0” above the existing Radiator floor deck, approximately 1’-0” below the top of existing Radiators; the platform deck shall consist of steel floor grating supported on steel beam spanning along the longitudinal edges, and transverse frame with beams supported on steel pipe columns on both sides of the Catwalk, mounted on the existing W18x76 on the Radiator floor deck. 2. Fully extension of the existing Radiator floor deck between Radiators #1 and #2 approximately 7’-3” wide towards the West Hialeah Preston WTP Miscellaneous Improvements 01 11 00 Issue for Bid November 2024 Page 4 of 9 ER No. C091297/W01768 Wall of the Generator Building, with railing on both sides.
