The Miami Parking Authority (MPA) requires Professional Grounds Maintenance at municipal facilities including operated sports venues (e.g., Marlins Ballpark Parking Garages). No specific work assignments or quantity of work is guaranteed. Proposals should identify key personnel assigned to this account and who will always liaison with the Miami Parking Authority . The Miami Parking Authority reserves the right to modify the scope of work by written Addendum to add more categories and/or facilities at any given point in time throughout the term of contract when deemed in the best interest. 1) Grounds and Lawn Maintenance - Contractor shall provide twenty-six (26) annual service visits per location to perform the following: a) Mowing, edging, and trimming of all lawn areas b) Power clipping, and trimming of all lawn areas c) Air blowing of all walk sand paved areas littered in the maintenance process d) Removal and disposal of all clippings 2) Shrubs, Hedge and Tree Care a) Shrubs and Hedges - Shrubs and hedges shall have eighteen (18) annual trimmings Shrubs and hedges shall be maintained by manual or mechanical clippers (no machetes) b) Ground Cover and Planted Beds - Ground cover and planted beds shall be trimmed and pruned as necessary to maintain the desired bed height. Separation of ground cover varieties shall be done to ensure that it does not spread to other areas. c) Weed Control - Weed control shall be performed on planted beds in tree walls by manual, mechanical and/or chemical means. Where chemical weed control is feasible, application of a systematic herbicide shall be made. d) Litter - Contractor shall remove all debris/litter from planted beds. e) Tree Canopies - Maintain all tree canopies at eight (8”) feet clearance for pedestrian/vehicular traffic. 3) Fertilization Applications: a) Two (2) annual applications of 13.3.13 palms and ornamental with micronutrients. b) Two (2) annual applications of 16.4.8 lawn special fertilizer.
