It is the intent of the Request for Qualifications for Construction Engineering and Inspection Services (CEI) to hire one (1) Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pre-qualified consulting construction engineering and inspection services firm (hereinafter Consultant) under work type 10.0 to provide construction engineering and inspection services for Connect Kissimmee Complete Streets Phase 1 project from Orlando Avenue to Neptune Road along Emmett Street and Broadway, in accordance with Rule Chapter 14-75, Florida Administrative Code. The City of Kissimmee, Florida is proposing to construct a complete streets project along Emmett Street and Broadway from just east of John Young Pkwy to Neptune Road; including the following side streets: N. Stewart Ave, W. Darlington Ave, W. Monument Ave, W. Dakin Ave, and W. Sproule Ave. Total project length is approximately 1.08 miles. Construction includes reconfiguration of existing typical section to accommodate bike lanes. Bike lanes are to be included in the construction of the roadway. Electronic vehicle charging stations are included in the construction. The addition of a north westbound left turn lane at Broadway and Neptune Road is to be included in the construction. The two roadways include milling and resurfacing, signage and striping, drainage improvements, sidewalk improvements, and landscaping. On street parking along Broadway is to remain. Access management is to remain unchanged.
