The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is requesting bids for clearing and grubbing approximately 39 acres (see Figure 1) at 11730 Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33412. The area is currently populated by invasive species such as Brazilian Pepper trees, other exotic plants, and hogs. Clearing and Grubbing together include the removal of all logs, brush, and debris, as well as the grinding and removal of stumps. Local animals will not need to be removed or disposed of. They should instinctively leave the area during the clearing and grubbing process. The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and materials to implement the following improvements: remove and dispose of all existing vegetation on the site, remove roots and other debris to a depth of 12 inches below the ground surface, all debris shall be disposed of off-site in a legal manner. The contractor shall remove existing topsoil 6” deep over approximately 6 acres and stockpile the removed topsoil on-site for future use. The contractor shall load, haul and install commission provided sand fill and reinstall topsoil. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
