The objective of this project is to suppress or kill grasses, herbaceous species, and woody shrub species in order to prepare sites for seedling planting. Herbicide application will be done with backpack sprayers directed spray technique) and will focus on covering the ground with soil active ingredients as well as vegetation for foliar active ingredients. Care must be taken to avoid spraying natural regeneration and residual trees within the units. The running surface of roads are not to be sprayed. The State will supply the chemicals. Ponderosa pine and western larch seedlings will be planted in the spring of 2026.
