This project consists of modernizing 16 traffic signals along the IL 159 corridor in Fairview Heights and Swansea. Intersections with protected-permissive phasing will utilize flashing yellow arrow signal heads. Eight of the traffic signals in Fairview Heights will be interconnected and will connect into IDOT’s existing ITS network by tying into the existing DMS board on I-64 at MP 10.8. This project includes all collateral work necessary to complete project as shown on the plans and as described herein. DBE 5%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
