This Contract shall consist of providing labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete maintenance, repairs and upgrades to various roadway and shoulder infrastructure, at various locations. The work may consist of many small projects at multiple locations throughout the counties. Work will be performed as directed by the Engineer and may or may not be on a continual basis. Except for emergency conditions, it may be unlikely that shoulder repairs will be scheduled for the months of November through March. This work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Repair, remove and/or construct concrete sidewalk (may include plain, stamped and/or colored concrete). 2. Repair, remove and/or construct concrete curb. 3. Repair, remove and/or construct combination concrete curb and gutter. 4. Repair, remove and/or construct hot mix asphalt curb. 5. Repair, remove and/or construct brick, stone or concrete pavers for sidewalk, median or island treatments. 6. Repair, remove and/or construct concrete for encasement of inlet grates. 7. Repair, remove and/or construct sidewalk ramps. 8. Repair, remove and/or construct hot mix asphalt shoulders, driveway aprons, drainage swales, and other hot mix asphalt road edge and shoulder treatments. 9. Repair, remove and/or construct landscape retaining walls. 10. Repair, remove and/or construct special stamped crosswalks. 11. Repair, remove and/or construct special pedestrian hand railing. 12. Repair or replace culvert pipes. 13. Repair or construct wingwalls and headwalls. 14. Repair or replace inlets. 15. Repair Jersey Barrier. 16. Place riprap at drainage structures or in ditch lines. 17. Cleaning existing inlets – (manual or mechanical). 18. Cleaning existing ditch lines – (manual or mechanical). 19. Cleaning existing pipes – (manual or mechanical). 20. Establishing vegetation. 21. Berm removal. 22. Concrete roadway repair 23. Surface friction treatment. DBE GFE required. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
