The work to be done under this Contract consists of furnishing all required labor, materials and equipment required for the reconstruction of Route 28 Bass River Bridge Replacement located in Yarmouth and Dennis. The proposed design will consist of geometric modifications at the intersection of Main Street Route 28), Old Main Street and North Main Street. Station Avenue will be realigned to intersect North Main Street at roughly a 90-degree angle as a typical “T-type” intersection. Main Street will be reconstructed to Uncle Barney’s Road including the replacement of the Bass River Bridge. The work within this the project limits will also consist of construction of ADA compliant pedestrian ramps, bus stops, sidewalks, shared use path, driveways, full depth pavement, new pavement markings and signs, drainage improvements, water mains and services, underground electric and telecom relocations, existing utility pole relocations, installation of granite curbing, loam and seeding, and all other incidental work included in the contract document. Existing utility pole relocation will be done by others. The scope of work also includes the maintenance and protection of traffic during construction, maintenance of vehicular and pedestrian access to abutting properties, and maintenance of uninterrupted utility service. The work includes furnishing all required temporary traffic control measures and work zone security to safely stage the construction. All temporary pedestrian facilities must be ADA compliant. All temporary pedestrian facilities must be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board 521 CMR. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
