The work done under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services to furnish and install the work in strict accordance with the specifications, drawings, contract documents, regulations, and codes. Work will include, but not be limited to, the construction of a ten-foot wide, ADA compliant, multi-use bituminous pavement pathway, that will start just east of the intersection of the electrical easement and Massachusetts Highway Route 66 (Rocky Hill Road) and will end with a connection to the New Haven and Northampton Canal Greenway, approximately 2,000 feet south east of Route 66. The proposed project will also include an improved pedestrian sidewalk along Rocky Hill Road, improved crosswalks at the intersection with Ice Pond Drive, additional parking for the pathway users and associated stormwater best management practices (BMPs), improved 16 foot wide utility access driveway, improved stream crossing structures, overlook bench areas, a wetland replication area, wayfinding kiosks for navigation, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work shown on the plans and described herein Bonds required.
