Work under this Contract will consist of furnishing, deploying, maintaining, repositioning, and removing traffic control devices on various state highways and as directed by the Engineer. The work will consist of scheduled work as directed. Scheduled temporary traffic control is defined as traffic management provided for work to be done by MassDOT Highway forces, or others, which has been previously scheduled. This work will be performed during various shifts and consists primarily of bridge inspection, surveying operations, and maintenance or repair operations, as to various components of the State Highway System. Emergency temporary traffic control is defined as traffic management that is required for immediate response in providing the safe, controlled passage of vehicular traffic, bicycles, and pedestrians through any area of any highway at any time during an unplanned event. Scheduled and emergency temporary traffic control will be required on an “as needed” basis, as determined by the Engineer, throughout the life of the contract. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
