The work to be done under this Contract includes the repair of asphalt pavement surfaces (roadways, sidewalks, paved waterways, driveway aprons, any area, as required by the Engineer) by means of a roadway repair crew (hand work) on State Highways within District Four. Most of this work will be required on an as needed basis, as determined by the Engineer, throughout the life of the contract on both a scheduled and an emergency basis. All work shall be performed within, and accessed by, existing State, City or Town roadway layouts. No rights to enter upon, or occupy, private property have been acquired for this project. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Department in the PAVEMENT – SURFACING or HIGHWAY - CONSTRUCTION category to bid. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
