The work to be done under this contract shall consist of furnishing personnel, materials and equipment to replace, or repair Impact Attenuators (Crash Cushions) on various highways, within District 4. Types of existing Impact Attenuators may include, but are not limited to, Fitch (Sand) Barrels, Energite (Sand) Barrels, Guardrail Energy Absorbing Terminal (GREAT) Systems, QuadGuard, Dry Hex-Foam Sandwich Barrier Systems, Trinity Attenuator Crash Cushions (TRACC), TAU-II and Smart Cushion Crash Cushion Systems. All locations for impact attenuator replacement, repair or reposition will be assigned on an as-needed basis determined by the Engineer during the length of this contract. See attached for locations of work. Addendum No 1 extended bid due date to April 8th. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Department in the IMPACT ATTENUATORS category to bid. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
