Trades: Class A - *General Engineering Contractor GEC: Heavy & Civil Engineering Construction, Infrastructure; Opportunities for Subcontractors, A-license - Pipeline Contractor: Water Mains, Water Lines, Sewer Lines + Related Structures; Includes Pipe Inspection Camera

Water distribution improvements including approximately 915 linear feet of 8-inch water distribution main (C900 PVC), 401 linear feet of 2-inch water service line (HDPE), 15 linear feet of 1-inch water service line (HDPE), one 6-inch fire hydrant assembly, one 2-inch backflow assembly, one 2-inch water meter assembly, one 8-inch flush valve, and a tie into the existing water main. The tie-in will be completed by using an 8-inch hot tap and expander. The Project also includes the construction of 1,729 square feet of asphalt pavement. The pavement will be for the installation of two ADA compliant parking stalls and an ADA compliant path to the Virginia City Fairgrounds. Accompanying the asphalt will be an installation of concrete steps meeting IBC and ADA requirements. The Project also included the addition of a new NV Energy service connection with the addition of feeder wiring, power distribution panels, sub-panels, servicing an entertainment stage, new food truck(s) with power connections using various receptacle combinations, and ancillary house power loads for toilets and minor facilities. Other Details Virginia City lies within the Carson River Mercury Site (CRMS) as determined by the EPA. The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) indicates that the most likely location to encounter mercury contamination would be in areas near historic mill sites as well as deposition areas where streams or rivers could have eroded and re-deposited contaminated mill site tailings material (e.g., riverbanks, river sediment, alluvial fans, and irrigation ditches). Due to the project location, special provisions will be necessary, including stockpiling and soil testing of all excavated material throughout the project. Please refer to the Contaminated Soil Mitigation Plan in Appendix A for additional requirements. Bonds required.
