This project consists of the mill and overlay of Baltic Avenue from Maine Avenue to Michigan Avenue* in the City of Atlantic City in Atlantic County, New Jersey. *Please note that the project title states that the paving shall extend from Maine Avenue to Missouri Avenue, but the actual, physical project limits shall stop at Michigan Avenue. In general, the scope of work for this project shall consist of site clearing; traffic control; milling of the existing asphalt surface to an average depth of 4”; removal and replacement of deteriorated areas of concrete base course, if and where directed by the engineer; the installation of a Hot Mix Asphalt intermediate course and a Hot Mix Asphalt surface course; the replacement of selective concrete gutter, sidewalk, and driveways; the resetting of existing granite curb; the installation of concrete sidewalk and concrete vertical curb to facilitate the construction of ADA compliant curb ramps; the resetting and modification of existing stormwater inlets, the installation of various striping; site restoration; and all other work contained in the Plans and Specifications or directed by the Engineer. The work also includes dust control, soil erosion control, cleaning and restoration. The contractor is responsible for the location of all utilities and to schedule all work involved with utilities. Any cost related to their coordination shall be included in their proposal. Federally funded. DBE Goal: 4% Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
