The Borough of Midland Park is seeking snowplow contracting for snow removal and related services to augment its own Department of Public Works Staff during inclement weather. The successful vendor will be capable of supplying to the Borough of Midland Park the following services with minimum capabilities as listed in the attached which must be met or exceeded. EQUIPMENT 1.1 Two (Class-1 truck) large single axle truck with; 1.1.1 10 foot or larger snowplow. 1.1.2 GVW over 17,500. 1.2 One (1) (Class-2) ¾ or one-ton truck with; 1.2.1 8-foot snowplow. 1.3 The vehicles shall be single axle trucks. 1.4 Class 1 vehicles shall have a gross vehicle weight (GVW) rating of at least 33,000 pounds. 1.5 Class 2 vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) rating of at least 7,000 pounds (example mason dump truck, pick-up truck) for clearing of cul-de-sacs or other areas where space limitations exist. 1.6 The Contractor must have tire chains available for the trucks should conditions require their use.
