The Scope of this Project includes the installation of a new standing seam metal roof system at the Hayes Building within the JJC Johnstone Campus. A portion of the existing polyisocyanurate insulation is scheduled to remain. Installation of new polyisocyanurate insulation is required at designated roof areas. Areas determined to be damaged throughout the existing roofing system is to be removed and infilled with new polyisocyanurate insulation prior to the installation of the new metal roof system. Infrared Testing of the existing insulation is to be conducted by the Contractor prior to work taking place. Refer to Unit Price Specifications Section 01 22 00. Replacement of the existing mechanical unit and reutilization of the existing steel dunnage. Installation of new metal roof ladder accesses where indicated on the Contract Documents. Removal and infill of existing roof hatch penetration. The Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. All bidders must be classified with DPMC with one of the following trades: General Construction (C008) or General Construction / Alterations & Additions (C009). Bidder must be classified themselves or name their classified subcontractors for the following trades: Structural Steel & Ornamental Iron (C029) HVACR (C032) Electrical (C047) Roofing-Metal (C071). This contract includes a goal of awarding 25 percent of the total contract value to a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) at either the prime or subcontract level. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
