The Contractor will provide snow plowing/salting equipment in the event the Department of Public Works (DPW) declares a snow emergency. Upon notification of a pending snowstorm, the Contractor must mobilize its operators and equipment and have them report directly to the DPW headquarters dispatch office located at 13-15 Linden Avenue East, Jersey City, NJ, to sign-in and remain in a standby mode until otherwise instructed by DPW staff. Once the Contractor is notified, the work must be completed within four (4) hours of notification. Contractor shall be guaranteed four (4) hours of pay, which may be comprised of either Regular hours or Standby hours, for the amount of equipment requested. The work shall be prosecuted diligently without delay from the start to the completion of snow plowing and salting. Bonds required.
