The Scope of this Project includes: A. The coating of approximately 5,448 square feet of the existing metal standing seam roofing system. B. The application of liquid-applied flashing materials at the base of the roof, exposed metal roofing seams, the skylight penetration, and the base of the concrete balustrades as noted on the Drawings. C. Repointing of damaged and/or deteriorated mortar and mortar joints at the existing concrete balustrades at the Assembly Chamber roof level. D. Stripping, cleaning, priming, and resoldering of the existing solder joints throughout the standing seam metal roof system. E. Repointing of the interior of the masonry brick walls within the Penthouse area. F. Injection grout as required where deterioration has taken place at the interior of the brick walls within the Penthouse area. Refer to Unit Prices under Specifications Section 01 22 00. G. Infill of penetrations with new masonry brick construction. H. Replacement of joint sealers above the roof level. I. Replacement of roof drains. J. Provision and installation of personal fall arrest system. K. The construction duration for the Project is ninety (90) calendar days from the issuance of the NTP by the State. L. The Project work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM weekdays. No work will be permitted on weekends or State Holidays. M. The New Jersey State House is listed on both the National and State Historic Registers. The proposed rehabilitation work shall be performed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. Special care shall be taken not to disturb or destroy any building elements scheduled to remain. Project will be bid as a single bid (lump sum all trades). All bidders must be classified with DPMC with the trade Historical Restoration (C024) Bidder must be classified themselves or name their classified subcontractor(s) for the following trades: Plumbing (C030) Roofing - Historical Sites (C075). Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
