Morris County is seeking proposals to replace existing 9-1-1 Center Workstations as well as carpeting in the 9- 1-1 Emergency Communications Center. The workstation and carpet replacement must be accomplished simultaneously to limit the operational impact of the facility. Although the 9-1-1 Center Staff will relocate to an alternate facility during furniture/carpet replacement, the replacement must occur in a phased approach where at least 16 workstations remain operational in the event the staff must evacuate the backup facility. Once the replacement work commences, the work must continue uninterrupted until the entire project is complete. The workstations must be designed for 24- hour use in a 9-1-1 or similar center. Since these workstations are replacing existing workstations, the workstation footprints and dimensions must follow the workstation size and configuration included in this specification. The workstations shall not require the county to relocate existing infrastructure, including power and network connections. There will be a total of 38 workstations comprised of: 1. 36 cockpit style workstations 2. 2 linear stations which shall include all options as cockpit style workstations 3. 7 Printer/personal storage Credenza's, 4. 9 rotating circular Carousels 5. 5 double locking file drawers Selection of color/fabric, laminates for furniture and carpet color will be determined after award at no extra charge. This contract is considered a construction-related public works projects and is covered under the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and Regulations. As such, all contractors and subcontractors who bid on this project must possess a valid Public Works Contractor Registration Certificate. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
