All Solid deicing products under this invitation for bid must meet the following requirements: 1. The product shall not contain urea, chlorides, nitrites, formaldehyde or phosphates. The product shall be a minimum of 98% active material. 2. The product shall have an effective melting function of 0 degrees F or lower. 3. The product shall meet all requirements of SAE/AMS1431D or the latest revision including Storage Stability. Please provide complete third party test data with your bid. Any bid received without complete third party test data will be deemed non-responsive. 4. The product shall be granular and between 2-4 mm. Density shall be between 0.90 and 0.95 kg/L. 5. Any product proposed that is older than 12 months or outside the Storage Stability test requirements shall be accompanied by the manufacturer’s express warranty as to the length of manufacturer’s warranty. This information shall also be included with the bid. 6. All packaging shall be marked in accordance with SAE/AMS1431D or latest revision, part 5.1.1 through 5.1.3. Any packaging not marked accordingly will be returned at the expense of the supplier. 7. Packaging must be in one (1) ton super sacks. The yearly estimated order is ten (10) tons to thirty (30) tons. 8. Delivery must be on a flatbed truck. We do not have a loading dock. 9. All prices must include shipping charges to zip code 13440. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
