Snow and ice negatively impact airline operations at PDX. This contract will be to remove snow from gates areas, ramps, and service roads; airport maintenance staff takes care of the primary taxiways and runways. Over the past 10 years, PDX has an average annual snow fall of 6.2 inches. We require snow be removed from airfield surfaces for safe and efficient airport operations. The successful provider will be required to comply with all rules and regulations governing airport security, including but not limited to the security and badging requirements.
