Flooring proposed under this solicitation that meets commercial grade and technical specifications shall be considered for addition to the County standards. The final selected products will be used for existing spaces and new spaces. Flooring installed must adhere to county standards and be commercial grade. Current County performance standards use manufacturers such as, but not limited to: Bentley Mills, Interface, Tarkett, Mannington, Shaw, Milliken, Mohawk, and Patcraft. The County will continue using these manufacturers and/or comparable products from other manufacturers. Contractor shall provide a list of all available flooring manufacturers on the Bid Proposal Form. Contractor must have in-depth product knowledge to assist in product selection when County standards have not been established. Understanding of performance specifications by use/room, sustainability, and longevity are required. Contractors will follow county standards regarding ordering attic stock and confirm with the County project manager where attic stock to be stored after the project. 2. Provide inspection and recommendations for replacement or repair of flooring. Investigate, diagnose, determine the problem, and solve the problem in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. 3. Remove and replace flooring. This may include but is not limited to: a. Existing floor removal; b. Subfloor restoration or replacement; c. Floor supply and/or installation all types; d. Floor leveling; and or e. Minor floor repair. 4. Provide information for close out of project with details from the manufacturer of each flooring type. Close out information to include manufacturer's cleaning recommendations and specifications for recyclability of flooring products when removed.
