Replace aging mechanical equipment serving six (6) 2 and 3 story apartment buildings. Existing mechanical equipment (to be demolished) is located in the basement of Buildings 2 & 7; A newly constructed stand-alone mechanical building will be built to house new heating system boilers, new water treatment equipment for the boilers, new domestic hot water heaters, and new building automation system controls and all related accessories. Installation of new below-grade direct bury mechanical utility piping connecting new mechanical equipment to existing apartment buildings; Repair and restoration of all surfaces disturbed by work performed under this contract (concrete walks, curbs, foundation walls, asphalt, lawn areas, planting beds, plantings, etc.) Existing below-grade piping will be abandoned in place; Existing boiler room equipment, piping and attachments in the basement level of buildings 2 and 7 shall be disconnected, demolished, removed and disposed at an approved waste center. Existing utility stubs shall be capped accordingly. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
