The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is currently seeking bids to establish a Purchase Order to replace the roof on the PRTC Building at the Hamilton Unit in Bryan, TX. Project specific requirements involve: 1.1 Remove and replace existing structural metal roof system and accessories, existing insulation, poultry metal wire mesh. 1.2 Replace the damaged roof “zee” purlins, reinforce the existing secondary roof framing system in the roof edge areas, replace and re-tension the roof lateral bracing cables as indicated per project drawings. 1.3 Clean and prepare exposed framing members those are damaged by heat and smoke to received new construction. 1.4 Reinstall the new specified metal roof system and accessories per construction documents. 1.5 Replace metal trims at perimeters of exterior windows. 1.6 Remove damaged attic vent louver and its metal trims in the building West wall and patch opening to match adjacent existing wall materials. 1.7 Replace one wall panel adjacent to one window in the building South wall. 1.8 Provide closure panels behind existing attic vents in the building end walls. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
