Dallas County (“County”) is issuing a request for proposal for a construction manager at risk to provide preconstruction and construction services for the one-time new construction of the Fire Station and Home Chemical Collection Center. The construction manager at risk (CMAR) will be contracted directly with the County and is expected to aid the County and its representatives prior to construction by offering pre-construction services, budgets, schedules, and constructability advice during the project planning and design phases. The CMAR then converts from an advisory role to the contractual role of the general contractor. The estimated budget for the project is $20 million dollars and the entire construction period is expected to take 16 to 18 months.
