Work of the Project generally includes groundwater storage tank rehabilitation, high service pump replacement, and associated site civil and electrical improvements. More specifically, the Work includes, but is NOT limited to, construction of Ground Water Storage Tank including preparation and recoating the inside and outside of the ground water storage tank, testing the interior and exterior existing coating for lead by the contractor, installaling an impressed cathodic protection system for both the tank bottom and interior walls, rerouting the tank overflow and drain lines to the exterior of the tank, replacing two existing lights on the roof of the tank with two new LED lights, replacing two existing roof hatches with two new roof hatches, coat hatches, and labeling confined space, adding security door to ladder leading to roof of the ground storage tank, installation of fall protection on both interior and exterior ladders, adding a drain line to the chlorine injection vault, installation of a new splash pad for the tank overflow and drain lines and caulk between the tank bottom flange and slab around the entire perimeter of the tank. High Service Pumps improvements include removing vertical turbine high service pumps number 1 and 2, check valve, and gate valve, installing two new vertical turbine high service pumps, installing new 8” check and 8” gate valves on high service pumps 1 and 2, preparing surface and recoat exposed discharge piping on high service pumps 1 and 2, insulating and heat tracing high service pumps 1 and 2 discharge piping and valves, inspecting the pump cans while the pumps are out and providing an RFI of the condition to Owner and Engineer. Tank Grounds Improvements include contractor responsible to locate all underground utilities before starting work, installing 4 new LED lights as shown in the contract documents, removing and replacing existing 10” and 4” gate valves on both sand traps, removing and replacing existing 2” ball valves on both sand traps, preparing surface and recoat exposed: Trinty well discharge pipe and valves, Woodbrine well discharge pipe and valves and Both sand traps, influent, and effluent piping; heat tracing and insulating the following: exposed sand trap pipe and valves, only insulate Sand trap vessels, exposed Trinity well pipe and valves and exposed Woodbrine well pipe and valves. And drainage improvements in Northwest corner of site to high service pump slab. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
