The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is requesting bids for flooring replacement and interior upgrade of a Houston Headquarters Texas Highway Patrol located at 12230 West Road, Jersey Village, TX 77065. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Infill cased opening (approximately 6’w x 7’h), hang drywall / strip wallpaper both sides to nearest corner / tape, float, sand & paint same area. 2. Remove existing carpet and install new LVT, approximately 1950sf (field verify). Storage closets not included. See scope of work attachment for LVT product. 3. Remove furniture within space to accomplish work. 4. Paint walls and door frames in suite – paint over existing vinyl wall covering. Repair or glue down and tears or peeling in wallpaper before painting. 5. There will be one accent wall per room. Exact wall location and color to be determined. 6. Provide up to 5 paint swatches prior to paint selection. 7. Provide transition strips at carpet to LVT transition and as needed. 8. Before construction DPS will remove all personal items, wall hangings and tv monitors (not brackets) from walls. Where furniture is lockable, personal items will not be removed and furniture will be locked. 9. Ensure all applicable codes and ADA/ADAAG/TAS regulations are followed. 10. Provide a minimum one (1) year Warranty on all installation work. 11. Provide turnkey project as indicated on the drawings and as required for complete project. Add Alternate 1 1. Replace (5) 2 x 4 ceiling tiles and (50) 4’ long tube bulbs in existing light fixtures to bright white LED bulbs. Exact locations will be determined during at pre-construction meeting. Provide turnkey project as required for complete project. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
