The work in this contract is for the Lift Station No. 1 Generator for Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 156 located in Clear Lake. The purpose of this project is to install a generator at the lift station site so that the lift station can continue to function in case the site loses power. In general, this work consists of: 1. Contractor shall acquire all permits and provide copies to LAN as a prerequisite to starting work. 2. Demolition of existing fence. 3. Installation of proposed chain link fencing and swing gate to accommodate new pad and generator as shown on plans. 4. Demolition of existing generator quick connect, main service breaker, manual transfer switch, conduits, and any appurtenances and items shown in specifications and plans. 5. Furnish and install a new natural gas emergency standby generator w/ sound attenuating enclosure, generator pad, testing, new automatic transfer switch (ats), 120/240 single phase panel, and all required equipment for a fully functional emergency generator system as described in plans and project manual. 6. Electrical service allowance for electrical service by local utility. Exact amount will be reimbursed to contractor upon submittal of invoice from electric utility. 7. Natural gas allowance for natural gas service by local utility. exact amount will be reimbursed to contractor upon submittal of invoice from natural gas utility. All new accounts shall be opened by contractor and transferred to owner upon substantial completion. 8. Site restoration. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
