The City is seeking to amend, update and consolidate its current development codes into a Unified Development Code to streamline and standardize the city’s process; improve overall organization; ensure that the city is fully compliant with state law; protect the natural and historic resources of the community; define preferred development patterns; and to better align with the vision, goals and strategies of the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan. Creation of the Unified Development Code will include updates to the Zoning Map to also more closely align with the Future Land Use Map established in the Comprehensive Plan as appropriate.
