Sealed bids are invited from qualified contractors for constructing the Courts Complex Addition and Renovations-West Site project located at 501 East Jefferson Street, Charlottesville, VA. The project consists of rehabilitating and renovating the historic 1803 Circuit Court building and its 1935 addition, totaling approximately 32,000 square feet, located on Court Square. The scope includes the renovation of the historic Jeffersonian courtroom, the construction of a modernized courtroom, the expansion and full enclosure of the existing sallyport, and the creation of a secure, controlled entrance. Additionally, the project will upgrade the building’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and telecommunications systems. The renovation will preserve the courthouse’s historic character while incorporating modern enhancements to meet current functional, operational, and technological standards. An Addendum naming Qualified Bidders will be posted on or about February 18, 2025. Qualified Bidders Submit Bids on a date to be determined in the winter of 2025. Bonds required.
