The City of Charlottesville is upgrading this building because the current equipment is an obsolete zone panel alarm system. This upgrade will ensure the building's fire detection and alarm system is updated to current technology and equipment. The upgraded system shall include all required hardware, raceways, interconnecting wiring and software to accomplish the requirements of this specification and the contract drawings, whether specifically itemized herein. All equipment furnished shall be new and the latest state-of-the-art products of a single manufacturer, engaged in the manufacturing and sale of analog fire detection devices for over ten years.
