It is the intent of this “RFP” to secure, through competitive negotiation, a highly qualified and responsible contractor to perform the Scope of Work described herein to install a bus wash system to support Danville Transit’s operations. Danville Transit maintains an existing bus wash bay and the door height for the bus wash bay is 12’. The bus wash bay is 20’ wide, wall to wall and is 14’ wide, curb to curb. The bus wash bay is 100’ long from door sill to door sill. Danville Transit provides fixed route and demand response bus service using body on chassis buses that include either a Ford 450 or Ford 550 chassis. The height of the buses used in service are approximately 10’ and the buses are approximately 9.5 feet wide, mirror to mirror. DBE goal 10%. Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
